Writing is a big part of all of my classes. Most of the writing done on blogs. Following are examples of blogs that were used in my classes. |
In Documentary Filmmaking Class students wrote 150 words every night about what they learned in class that day. In Digital Portfolio Class I expanded on the daily journal idea. Every friday students were to write a more lengthy and thoughtful essay. I was the founder of the Communications Committee. This committee of five students updated a blog with the minutes of the biweekly schoolwide committee meetings. This blog was later expanded to include the minutes from the daily morning meeting. I framed my Current Events Class around twice weekly blogging assignments. Students chose their own article from an online news source, analyzed the article, and led a discussion of the article the following day in class. |
