Here are some education links I really like:

Sorious Samura makes the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Greenfestival is a fantastic event centered on environmental sustainability held in DC every year.

Wisweb is flat out the best educational website for students I've ever seen.

Here is the best web 2.0 summary I've found.

This is a great edtech listserv

Alan November does some good work on information literacy and if you are a nerdy teacher you must go to his conference once.

The Teton Science School has a wonderful and reasonably priced outdoor experiential program for students.

Scratch is a fantastic ground-floor programming tool for students.

I think Google Docs (or a similar web-based collaborative writing tool) will revolutionize student writing more than any advance since the word processor.

These are two of the coolest websites ever. Guidestar.org let's you look at the tax returns of any nonprofit or school. Type a URL into the wayback machine at  archive.org

I like Ross School a lot. Proctor Academy has a great school blog.

Marco Torres is a very inspiring teacher. Ditto for Darren Kuropatwa.

The Senate and House page programs are probably the best programs for high school juniors, but slots are hard to get.

The Colleges That Change Lives college fair travels the U.S. every year and is worth the trip.

Link TV is my most favorite television station ever. Current TV is my second most favorite, and they have a fantastic guide to creating movies.

A K-12 school that is really different from everything you've ever seen is Fairhaven. It's worth the visit because I think they do student governance better than anyone.

I know a few young people who went to Alldredge Academy and returned transformed (but it's expensive and it's not always transformative).

Tony Orange spoke at my old school and is a unique dog trainer

I think frisbee is an outrageously educational sport because while all sports encourage physical fitness, frisbee is the only one I know of that is self-officiating. Check out the DC youth league

Here is a link to my eBay feedback page... I hope to harness the educational power of eBay in the classroom in the near future.

My most favorite Flash video games are Boxhead, Desktop Tower Defense, Flash Flash Revolution, and Dodge
